Our Mission:
PBCB is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to offering educational and recreational boating opportunities to residents and summer visitors in the Pleasant Bay communities of Chatham, Harwich, Orleans and Brewster. Our focus is on developing comprehensive sailing and rowing programs to serve the youth and adults of our communities. This summer, we will be offering our seventh season of programs in sailing with an exciting array of programs. We hope you will join us and support us.
Though still a new organization, PBCB has gained national recognition. In 2006, a sailing team from PBCB qualified for the National Women's Championship, finishing fifth. In 2007 PBCB received a national community sailing award from USSailing.

Letter from the President
On March 8, 2010 PBCB president John Dickson wrote a letter to our supporters.  View letter...

Lesson Cancellation:
In the event that weather conditions make sailing hazardous (lightning or high winds), lessons may be cancelled at the discretion of the Sailing Director. If a lesson is cancelled, it will be posted at the top of this page and a red flag will be placed at the entrance to Jackknife Beach on Route 28. We will attempt to reschedule any canceled lessons. Please read our lesson cancellation policy for more details.

Class gathers Classes gather at the PBCB "BOX". When the boats are rigged, they're on the way!
Ship Ahoy To participate in sailing or rowing lesson sessions or in recreational sailing or other special programs an individual must be a member or part of a family membership. Memberships must be renewed each year. Membership fees support the fixed expenses of the program.
